Andy Turner — Working with Land
Andy Turner is a landscape designer based in Northeast Florida, working throughout the coastal South, including Southeast Georgia. A Northeast Florida native, his understanding of the region comes from long familiarity with its climate, soils, and coastal conditions rather than abstraction.
With over two decades of experience in horticulture and landscape design, Andy approaches each project through careful observation. He believes effective landscape design begins with listening—to the land, and to the people who inhabit it—and with aligning use, environment, and long-term viability.
His work favors restraint over excess and structure over decoration. Trees, palms, landform, and circulation are established first, allowing landscapes to develop gradually and with clarity. Planting is treated as a long-term framework rather than a finished moment.
Andy lives and works in Northeast Florida with his family. As a father of four, he is attentive to how outdoor spaces function in daily life—how they are used, adapted, and lived in over time.
The aim of his work is to create landscapes that are settled, durable, and appropriate to their place—spaces that support life quietly and improve with age.
